Starting this journey of taking on a life coach was nerve wracking, but exciting.
I am a very independent person who is now pretty good at managing stress, but struggles with anxiety here and there like we all do.
But I see the value in mentorship.
I see the value in asking for help and realizing I don't have to figure everything out on my own all the time.
I see the strength that comes vulnerability and I appreciate the perspective.
I know I have all the answers and am connected to my intuition but need help pulling those answers out by a life coach who can help me see that outside perspective.
When I first started my sessions, I felt like I was at a spot in my life where I always put other people's needs before my own. I thought I was doing this in a selfless way, only to realize I didn't have anything in my cup at the end of the day.
I started adding "I am worthy of putting myself first" in my affirmations list.
I started setting boundaries as time rolled on.
I started to heal my relationship with myself when it came to making sure I implemented things that brought me joy in my routine.
I started to recognize patterns and I've worked SO hard to love myself and be whole within myself but wasn't allowing a lot of room to feel proud of myself.
I looked at it as a negative thing even though all I wanted was for my friends and family to accept me being proud of them.
So why couldn't I accept that in myself?
I view the priorities in my life differently now and make sure my cup is full so I have more to give to the things and people who matter most in my life.
I have someone who keeps me accountable once a week and helps me dig deep and tap into my worries and fears.
Jordan in herself is a phenomenal human being and incredible life coach.
I see so much value in continuing this because I believe in continual growth and bettering yourself.
Life has problems and that's okay. But I believe everything works out how it's supposed to and I'm glad I have someone to help me find ways to manage my stress and find my passions in this crazy thing we call life.
